We live in an age of sophisticated communication. People’s expectations are now firmly based on their continuous exposure to the high production values of both film and television. As well as that, the Internet now provides an almost infinite supply of information and quality images. It has inevitably brought about a ‘sea change’ in management education. Training presentations must now contain strong visual images and seek to entertain as well as inform. We are completely committed to that philosophy. The presentation work on all our programmes is both originally designed and imaginatively illustrated.- We believe that people learn best by experiencing. For this reason, we have maximised the opportunities on all our programmes for delegates to take part in both individual and team assignments. Some are reality-based or simulate reality. Others pose seemingly unrelated situations but better create the learning that must take place. All provide the essential intellectual challenges. However, and of equal importance, they also exhibit a range of emotional responses, which are inherent in many ‘people’ situations. We carefully manage this dynamic and the result is that delegates achieve a much greater understanding of themselves and others.
- We do not run our programmes in some vague theoretical vacuum. We go to great lengths to establish an authentic backdrop, which mirrors the delegates’ own organisation and Industry. This is reflected in the words we use, the situations we create, the tasks we set and so on. We obviously have to do the relevant research and take advice from the Client, but delegates then experience management development within the right context.
